The modern color the uses RGB for additive and CMYK for subtractive color models, the traditional RYB model is usually not used anymore whose complementary colors produce brown instead of grey like in modern models when mixing.
Therefore, the complementary color of red is cyan and the one of green magenta.

So have a 30 cm ruler with the length of 34 cm, because a small segment at each side isn't calibrated.
