Topic, Game "BLockoban"

  I have 119 officials left. That's kind of disappointing.

  Which levels you need to complete all official levels?

  For any Blockoban designer who is wondering why their new levels aren't getting official

When a new player finds a game, over 250 official levels might scare him away from the game. Also official levels are for the new players. More experienced players play the new accepted levels too, as you might have seen =]

This game might get few, very few, officials more. I don't how many if any, but just saying this if you guys are wondering =]

We get at the moment levels that are way better than the official levels, and almost any level made today had been official if made 2 years ago =]

I thank you designers for understanding. I like getting levels official too, but I hope the reason you are making the levels is that you find it fun, just like me.

  Oh, and where do you come with those level names, they're pretty clever. I'll make another hard level someday.

  Aren't you all running out of level ideas, i mean 1700 is a lot. I wonder how long this will keep going, xD. Plus i haven't made one good level for you guys to solve.

  yep I do sorry I havent put up a good score yet still working out kinks on toughmans other mind bombs, but dont I suggest u all get a head start cause otherwise your in trouble!

  I think we ask too much of JP, anyone who wants select a particularly fun level to solve, and we can all work on it, I am going to be honest here there are too many levels, many of them extremely boring to go for best score... On a lot of the extremely hard levels I solve them more then once just because they are so challenging the 2nd time is often as hard as many other levels so I end up with a better score (generally).. I know different people find different levels more fun and what not but... lets get this started... I nominate CROSSROADS for a challenge level

edit: not that I ever think ill beat toughman on this one but hey who knows!

  Wow, just realized how much of an addict I am. Well over 1600 Blockoban levels completed so far. I know there are a few others with more, though. You know who you are ;)

  That would definitely be something JP. However, my initial idea and suggestion was a bit more simple, of course I don't know how easy it is to do it. It involved having some kind of alert (RSS, MSG board, flashing square,etc) when on a game best score is beaten (not matched as it would be pointless) irrespective of everyone's personal score. That way (apart from the one actually making the score) players would know that this level needs to be revisited sometime.



Another option could be on the Start Categories screen where the thumbnails of the official levels appear apart from your score which is shown (only to official levels) when you put the mouse over the thumbnail to show the best score as well and should it be possible extend this to Random, New, Top Rated thumbnails on the same screen. Anyway JP, thnx for listening and I trust you'll the best you can.

  Yes this is on old requirement not only for BB but for other games. I can make a page with the best scores and your scores on official levels. But maybe not on ALL the levels, that would be too many levels.

  I haven't played blockoban in about a week, and i'm back. Now i gotta try to get that award.

  @ToughMan: I absolutely agree! I have some sort of control of the scores on official levels, but the accepted ones, all I can do is check them randomly and now and then join some "lowest score possible"-competitions. Some kind of alarm/colour-system would be nice. On the SELECT - NEW - ALL list above, there's still room for one more sign or number to the right of the coloured square and the coloured C to the right of the level's name. For example a number telling you how many points you are away from highscore. Just for the geeks of us. Would have been great!

  There has been this suggestion on ML forums too once (show how far you are from highscore on a level when selecting levels, or something like that, highlighting etc).

First of all, don't ask 'admins' to do this, ask JP, he is the only one who can do such a things. You can PM him about it but I doubt he will make, as he is pretty busy atm (if I have heard right).
