Topic, Game "BLockoban"

  @garygoh884, people are asking hints when they are getting stuck on a level for long. Try to give hints that don't spoil too much. Not giving hints makes you look like an evil and annoying guy in the eyes of them, is that what you want?

  I don't think I should be giving hints for "Too Narrow". magnacumlaud asked me for a hint, and I can't accept it for her, telling her that she should ask her parents. Thanks.

  LOL El. I only abbreviate names with whom I feel quite familiar with (like OMG,PA, J, G, El) or even have long names and I'm too lazy to write them down (ie GIS,etc). [note for GIS: the one does not exclude the other]. Of course Shiro could become 'Sh' but that would sound a bit offensive don't you think?...lol. But you are right El, Shiro has now become Sh.

  If Muhammad don't go to the mountain, the mountain will go to Muhammad (Greek expression J).Meaning, that if official lvls have reached their limit size and therefore scores -linked to official lvls - are capped we could try to have another set of scores which include all accepted lvls. Personally, I believe it is worth the trouble but that's just me and Shiro (and G)...lol. Let's just c what happens J.

  I put this on the table for JP. It would be nice to have new tab on the BB page for the Global Score. I would also suggest admins when accepting a level - if possible - to just add it on the pack. I know it is a bit more work but that way we will be certain that nothing will be missing. As for the editing issue? Are there any ideas how we can include/invite other editors to add levels? Since we are a global community smn can take my turn when I sleep....hehe

  The Score will be visible in the Scoreboard of the Pack

So, You can't see the global score from here, Only from your pack. But I can tell you that every BB fans will plays it. At least you can count on me ;)

  Oh. Thnx G but what about the Global Score? Will this be visible on the Scoreboard in this page (under tab Scores) or just when smn plays the pack? Again it defeats the purpose if it is hidden? My idea was to have an official scoreboard (cannot erase it) but also have another tab for global scoreboard. What do you think?


Ok. I have already started but I don't know how long it will take me (maybe 1-2weeks). I will be adding levels each day so bear with me admins and players. As i'm not sure how this works - on the acceptance level of the pack - I suggest ignoring it until it is completed. I have included a small reminder (on the comment section) for my information and when i'm through i will delete it and let you know to accept it. I would also like to include other editors to feel free and add on the pack but not sure how to do it. Any ideas? Btw, I named the pack 'Global BB Tournament'. Unless you have other suggestions I'll stick with that.

  Thnx Shiro...will try it on a smaller size just to get the idea (and c how long it will take me) and if things go well (don't count on it) i'm gonna try the long way......zzzzzzZZZZZZZ.

Just to make sure I don't do anything in vain. Will this pack with all levels - if created by myself - be able to include a Global Score because that's the only reason I'm gonna do it...not for my self satisfaction...lol Plus, will we be able to add further levels once they are accepted...or do we have to start from scratch each time and create a new pack? If the answer is NO to any of the above questions I don't think its worth the effort and the sweat. Don't you think?

  Okay, let me try to explain it in steps ^_^.

1) Go to ''[Create a level pack]''
2) Make a fitting title & description, a Thumbnail may look messy so you don't have to do anything about that unless you really want another thumbnail.
3) Then go the the box ''Level Title'' and simply add every level you see in the accepted tab.

  @ToughMan, hehe, GL adding all levels, Jump Gear 2 had nearly 2500 and it took me 3 full days :-).

  Of course I don't mind and I hope it is helpful. As for the Global score, your idea sounds great. However a similar pack (updated lets say) must be created every xxx levels (i.e. each time 100 or 200 more levels are accepted). As i don't know how easy or difficult this is, I leave it up to you to decide.I trust you'll do your best. Thnx for the response JP.

  @ToughMan, about the global score, we could make a pack that contains ALL levels, like Shiro made for Jump Gear 2.
I will add a piece of your message about the admin role into the FAQ if you don't mind, that was so true.
